Suman, a Filipino dessert, is sweetened rice wrapped in banana leaves. Alejandro's actually cut the suman in squares, topped with fried coconut as well as a piece of leche plan (e.g. flan). Usually, it's simply kept in the banana leaf and the eater just peels away the leaf to eat the rice inside. This was an awesome dessert that was served in a way that I've never experienced before, so it was definitely a first.
