Farmer's Breakfast

Robie's General Store - Hooksett, NH

My Farmer's Breakfast at Robie's.

This is probably one of the best meal deals I've ever found. The breakfast included pancakes (with real maple syrup), toast, corned beef hash, home fries, bacon, and eggs.

Several things really stood out about this breakfast: The pancakes were, as both Saveur magazine and Chowhound had mentioned, excelent, and are someplace in the middle of my top 10 list. The home fries were perfectly fried red bliss potatoes. The CBH was generous and well crisped. The eggs were perfectly scrambled, and the toast was some nice homestyle wheat. The bacon was just normal bacon, but there were four strips.

Basically, this is another example of a breakfast that's hitting on all cylinders. Good food with very good attention to detail.

Most astonishingly, however, this veritable feast of a breakfast cost me only approximately $4.50 (since it was the daily special), making this probably one of the quality-to-price ratio breakfasts I've ever had.
