Carne Asada Tacos

The Mission District is filled with all sorts of nice taquerias serving all varieties of tacos and burritos. But I rather liked La Taqueria for a variety of reasons: My tacos had excellent Carne Asada in them; nicely seasons with a good smokiness to the meat. The beans were good and not falling apart, and the fresh salsa nice and tasty. Overall, these tacos were nice since they weren't overdone: no extra cheese or refried beans or a heavy "taco sauce" getting in the way of good carne asada. This was basically a well-assembled taco.

Having a real taco - street food style - was a revalatory food experience for me. Simplicity, great meat grilled flavor, value - honest food. Looks like you found a great one.
