Mexx "Combo"
Mexx Kitchen at The Whiskey - Chicago, IL
Loved the design/atmosphere and the food was very much to our liking: sauces, spices, meats, freshness - that taste thing - all good. We especially liked their guacamole. Some knocks we've read have been about "lack of a scene" but we were only interested in the food and that was great (it is attached to The Whiskey after all so no surprise. The combo platter on the bottom was an excellent intro to the kitchen's work. The top plate (Carne Asada) has a scalloped potato type side that was diabolically good.
