At Sweet Adeline Bakeshop, there are too many freshly baked treats to name. But I'll try anyway. There's the pecan cinnamon bun, sticky and yeasty-- the perfect morning sugar rush. Need a little less sugar? Then opt for a tender, fruity scone. Savory galettes are made with a flaky crust and the best of seasonal ingredients. Tres leches cake and chocolate cream pie are luscious indulgences. The focaccia has a perfect texture with just enough olive oil to take it from being a snack to a treat. The cookie case is my downfall; since I can't decide between the refreshing lemon snaps, spicy ginger biscotti, hearty peanut butter cookies, and decadently chewy pecan praline cookies, I usually walk out with several of each.
It's the only bakery I'll go to for special occasion cakes. There's nothing quite like the Boston cream pie.
And it's no wonder that the sunny, airy space is home to such perfect treats; the owner and staff are as bright and warm as the space they occupy.
