When the topping choices for your ice cream include the likes of olive oil and sea salt, you know you're in for a different kind of frozen dessert experience. Using only the most wholesome of ingredients and eschewing any sort of stabilizers, colorings, additives, or artificial flavorings, the folks at Sketch create creamy, ethereal ice cream from sweet, organic milk and not much else.
The flavors change daily and seasonally and can include infusions of tea and locally sourced ingredients. I'm a fan of the classic vanilla and cocoa nib, but I love when they serve citrus sorbets and granitas as well. There are homemade marshmallows, hot chocolate "kits," and caramel corn in case your sweet tooth is particularly severe.
Have a seat on the benches outside and watch the traffic on 4th Street go by while you savor every last bite of your frozen masterpiece.
